Different brake pads have different formula content and processing methods, and their friction coefficients are also different. More importantly, the friction coefficient of the same brake pad will change with temperature, and it is not a fixed value. In the professional testing department, the friction coefficient of the brake pads at different temperature points on the "temperature ladder" should be measured on a special instrument, so as to draw a continuous "temperature-friction coefficient" curve. This characteristic curve is the brake pad important reference data. As an ordinary consumer, you don't need to care too much, as long as you pass actual driving and simple testing methods, you can judge whether this set of brake pads is easy to use. The front line of this modification is also conducted an intuitive test in this way. In short, the first thing to do when modifying brake pads is to hope that their friction coefficient should be better than the original one anyway. 

If you are a gentle driver, the average speed is only 60km/h, no matter how hard you brake, the temperature of the brake pads is only 100°C, and the original brake pads are sufficient. But if on the expressway, from 100km/h to 20km/h for emergency braking, the temperature of the brake pads will rise to 150°C to 200°C; If you are driving at 200km/h on the highway and brake suddenly, the temperature is about 170°C to 220°C; If you step on the brakes all the way down the mountain, the temperature will be about 250°C; if you are a racer or someone who likes to speed, frequent braking and rapid braking force will raise the brake pads to 300°C-350°C. In these cases, your original brake pads may not be able to meet the safety needs!
