How to Replace Brake Pads?

1. Release the handbrake and loosen the hub screw of the wheel to be replaced (note that it is loose, not completely unscrewed). Jack up the car, and then remove the tire. Before removing the brake pads, it is better to spray special brake cleaning fluid on the brake system to prevent the powder from entering the respiratory tract and affecting health.

2. Remove the brake caliper screw (for some cars, just screw off one of the screws, then loosen the other screws)

3. Rope the brake calipers to avoid damage to the brake lines. Then remove the old brake pads.

4. Use the c-clamp to push the brake piston all the way back in. (Please note that before this step, lift the engine hood and unscrew the cover of the brake oil tank. Because when the brake piston is pushed up, the fluid level of the brake fluid will rise accordingly). Then put the new brake pads on.

5. Reinstall the brake caliper and tighten the caliper screws to the required torque. Put the tire back on and tighten the hub screws slightly.

6. Lower the jack and fully tighten the hub screws.

7. Because in the process of replacing the brake pads, we pushed the brake piston inwards, and there will be a feeling of empty when you first step on the brakes. After hitting the brakes a few times in a row, it's fine.
