What is ECE R90 certified? 

The ECE-R90 is a European regulation that defines standards for brake friction, rotors and drums in terms of design, performance and test standards. It states that for every replacement product, the above criteria must be within a specified performance tolerance (+/- 15%) when tested against genuine OE parts. 

Products that receive R90 approval bear a unique code number alongside a country code, denoting the origin of testing. For instance, 'E1' signifies testing conducted in Germany, while 'E11' represents testing in the UK. 

The E11 Mark is the British specific Mark that covers equipment/vehicles supplied to the automotive industry. This includes commercial vehicles, construction machinery and general vehicle use and basically means the unit has been approved by ECU compliance and quality control regulations.
